How Beany's BAS preparation and filing works
At the beginning of the month that your BAS is due to be lodged, you'll receive an email from Beany reminding you to reconcile your Xero or MYOB.
Once your reconciling is all up to date, log into your Beany account and click the "I've reconciled this" button on your dashboard. This lets our team know to start work.
After we've prepared your BAS, we'll email you to let you know it's ready for review on your Beany dashboard (usually within 3 working days).
If you're happy and it makes sense, click the "approve" button and we'll lodge it with the ATO.
Paying your BAS
If you have an amount to pay, you'll need to make payment to the ATO from your internet banking. Your activity statement will include all the payment options available.
What our BAS service doesn't cover
- Payments to the ATO: We won't make any tax payments on your behalf.
- Filing without reconciling: We cannot file your BAS if you haven't reconciled all your bank and card transactions for the BAS period.
- Bank reconciliation: If you need assistance with keeping your reconciling all up to date, consider our Bank reconciliation or Bookkeeping service.
Spam Filters: Sometimes, really virtuous Spam email filters can get a hold of our emails by mistake. If you think you might not have received our reminder emails, please check your spam folder as we wouldn't want these to slip through the cracks.
